Bespoke advisory

The Company provides bespoke corporate finance and merchant banking advisory services. Examples of previous transactions that Marechale has completed include £27 million Equity & Debt Growth Capital for Brewhouse and Kitchen and £15 million Equity and Debt raised for Future Biogas.

Marechale completes on average six to seven deals a year, a number of which are follow on investments. The Company uses its balance sheet to co-invest in its client companies, along with warrants and founder equity, in order to create shareholder value.

Chief Executive and Founder

Patrick Booth-Clibborn

Patrick has more than 40 years' corporate advisory and broking experience and has led projects which have raised over £1bn of equity for companies and funds. Patrick founded Marechale Capital in 2009. He started his career at James Capel & Co, subsequently working for ANZ Merchant Bank, Guinness Mahon, Noble and KBC Peel Hunt. As a Director of Noble & Co, Patrick was instrumental in building its London based advisory and equities franchise, latterly as Head of Broking. Patrick specialises in advising companies in the leisure and clean energy sectors. Patrick is NED chair of Burgh Island and the chair of the employment advisory board for Rochester and Cookham Wood prisons and on the employment board for prisons in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Dick Shand

Dick is a Chartered Accountant with 50 years experience, 30 of which was spent as FD or CFO in a diverse number of companies, including the Defense Contracting, Computer Software, Engineering Contracting and Distribution sectors. During these years Dick raised finance for these businesses, and completed a successful MBO in 1999. In 2006 Dick joined 'St. Helens Capital', the predecessor to Marechale Capital, since when he has looked after all the Back Office functions. In a personal capacity, he is also a Non Executive Director/Adviser to a diverse range of clients.

Fin Reid

Fin started his career developing large scale solar schemes in the UK before joining Marechale in 2015. Fin has worked with Marechale for the last 10 years, specialising in providing growth companies with strategic advice, developing growth plans, and getting them investment ready, with a particular focus on businesses in the clean energy and hospitality/leisure sectors. In addition, Fin is a director of a self-storage business, and is involved in a bonded warehouse storage business in Scotland.

Hamish Williams

Hamish started his career in Commercial Property and, following the sale of his Family's printing business, developed an interest in mentoring entrepreneurs and small business owners as an adviser and investor. After acquiring St Helen's Private Equity he created a private investment company focusing on successfully investing in SME businesses across a number of sectors including Technology. At Marechale Capital, Hamish works with prospective and new corporate finance clients, providing analysis and corporate finance and structuring advice.
