Corbin & King – Growth Financing
Corbin & King was founded by legendary restauranteurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who own and run some of the best known signature restaurants in London including The Wolseley, The Delaunay and Brasserie Zedel.
When Marechale Capital first met the team they had just the one operating site, the Wolseley in Piccadilly, and a number of prime Central London leases, which became award winning restaurants, that required further financing.
Marechale, alongside an associate, helped advise on the project taking the company initially through a private investor round. This led to a private equity round with Marechale investors investing on the same economic terms as the lead private equity investor. Ultimately the company was sold in 2018 to Minor Hotels, generating a healthy return to both the Marechale investors and the lead private equity investor.
